3CX expertise
I.T Communications began with telephone consultancy and technical support for 3CX, bringing Samantha Benwell’s previous IT-sector experience into business communications.
IT Communications
An independent UK communications provider delivering reliable voice, connectivity and technical support since 2009.
How it started
In 2009, better broadband speed and reliability were making Voice over Internet Protocol a credible replacement for the ISDN and PSTN technologies traditionally used for UK telecommunications.
After several years working in the IT sector, Director Samantha Benwell began providing telephone consultancy and support for the 3CX Phone System—starting with version 10. Strong demand led to the registration of I.T Communications Limited and an expanding customer base across the UK and internationally.
Our development
I.T Communications began with telephone consultancy and technical support for 3CX, bringing Samantha Benwell’s previous IT-sector experience into business communications.
Demand for support grew quickly. I.T Communications Limited was registered and its services expanded to organisations in the UK and internationally.
Kayleigh Evison joined as co-Director, taking responsibility for the financial side of the business.
The company added third-party SIP trunks alongside phone-system consultancy, giving customers one organisation to manage their telephone services.
After outgrowing the reseller approach, the company invested in delivering customer SIP trunks through its own managed network operating from two London data centres.
The portfolio developed to include the Soft-Switch PBX platform, broadband, leased lines, colocation services and other hosted applications.
Why ownership matters
Operating a wholly owned and managed SIP network gave I.T Communications direct control over service delivery rather than relying entirely on a reseller relationship. The company operates its own autonomous system, AS203416, and maintains carrier interconnects for voice and internet services.
The platform operates across two London data centres, adding geographic resilience to the voice environment.
Independent high-capacity paths between both London facilities.
